Wiliwilinui Access Road and Ridge Trail
The trail begins as a paved road, eventually turning into a dirt track and transitioning from guava to native koa-ʻuluhe forest. This hike offers opportunity to see or hear several native forest birds. A challenging trek, this ridge trail features 1,600-ft. elevation gain and may often be muddy and slippery.

Important Info:
If driving from Kalanianiʻole Highway heading east, turn left on Laukahi Street. Continue mauka on Laukahi St until you come to a security guard station. Check in with the security guard and then proceed up Laukahi until it ends. Turn left on Oko‘a, following the trail signs. Park in the parking area before the cable gate and proceed on foot along the access road to the trailhead.
